Pre-Owned Steinway Division Opens at Steinway Piano Gallery
In 1939, Steinway & Sons ran a newspaper ad declaring “You can afford a Steinway and you can afford it now!” In the year 2010, these words remain true. Now, Steinway Piano Gallery is making ownership of a Steinway even more affordable by offering one of the largest collections of pre-owned Steinways seen anywhere in North America. This collection includes Steinways manufactured from every decade since 1900 through 2008 including art-case and special finished Steinway grands and verticals. As Michigan’s official Steinway representatives, we’ll stand behind each of our used Steinways to ensure your piano continues to perform and play as only a Steinway can.
For more information about this wonderful collection call us during store hours at 248-560-9200.

Patent of the Month
# 2070391 Diaphragmatic Soundboard
Did you know...
This month in the year 1937, Steinway & Sons engineer Paul H. Bilhuber designed what many call the “heart” of the piano; the most resonant soundboard in existence, even today. His “diaphragmatic” soundboard is fashioned with subtle tapering at the edges to allow freer, more uniform vibrations all across the board. The result is nothing less than “The Steinway Sound” : rich and full, it is prized by the world’s finest musicians and piano enthusiasts alike.
“When one plays a Steinway, there is a warmth and nobility in the sound that is unequalled by any other instrument.” – Emanuel Ax
